Why not read the John Rowntree Foundation's Report on special educational needs and their links to poverty!

This research explores the strong correlation between a person having special educational needs and living in poverty.

It concludes that poverty is not only an effect of special educational needs but a cause as well!

It recommends a greater policy focus on special educational needs, more training for primary school teachers and targeted funding for those children with special educational needs who are at risk of exclusion.

It is clear that much more needs to be done to ensure that children with special educational needs get a proper education and avoid the poverty trap.

Go on, give it a read!
